These newly relaunched 1/4800 scale models are exceptionally detailed and ideal for recreating the major naval engagements of World War II between the capital ships of the British Royal Navy and Germany’s Kriegsmarine. Excellently priced and scaled small enough to allow true table major battles on your dining room table at a fraction of the cost demanded with 1/2400 gaming. If your budget allows, bought in multiple sets, one can nearly recreate the complete surface ship inventory of both combatant navies as there’s sufficient latitude to “double-up” sister-ship vessels e.g. Bismarck/Tirpitz, Prinz Eugen/Admiral Hipper/Admiral Blucher etc. the same applies to RN sets too. For example, by purchasing multiple sets of MF-4802 x3, MF-4803 x3, MF-4804 x1, MF-4805 x2 and MF-4806 x3, complemented by merchant ships from MF-4807 and perhaps a MF-4808 Titantic as a troop or hospital ship, you’ll have enough to happily game for hours with absolutely the best quality metal naval miniatures available on the market today. There’s absolutely no quality comparison with the alternative plastic molded models out there. Be it the hunt for the pocket battleship, the Admiral Graf Spee in the South Atlantic, the mid Atlantic hunting down of the Bismarck after the tragedy of the sinking of HMS Hood, or the Battles of the Barents Sea (Hipper and Lutzow) and North Cape (Scharnhorst), these model sets are invaluable additions to your naval war gaming collections. If you search the net, though not of the same quality, you can even source white metal cast 1/4800 scaled subs and aircraft carriers of the same WWII era to complement these sets. Here’s hoping that PFC-CinC extend their range with their own 1/4800 carriers and subs and that they will will finally soon get around to equivalent 1/4800 WWII US and Japanese fleets in the near future, perhaps some are already in the pipeline!?
